At Summa Financial Technology, we are committed to building next generation financial solutions for the investment management industry. To that end we have built a cloud native securities processing and portfolio reporting platform to enable digital transformation and a full array of reporting services for our clients.
We are seeking an experienced cloud engineer to lead key efforts as we scale our systems. This role will involve automating the provisioning of cloud infrastructure, maintaining kubernetes clusters, designing internal networks, implementing gitops, and helping lead our efforts to build the most reliable and secure financial infrastructure in the world.
What you will be doing:
- Creating and executing cloud architecture and automation
- Building the systems that power the deployment, monitoring, and scaling of our software services
- Identify and automate tasks while improving internal tools to reduce operational complexity
- Leading projects to improve availability, reliability and scalability across our infrastructure
- Contributing to architecture documentation
- Supporting development teams with all things related to CI/CD, Kubernetes and deployments
- Shaping the culture of the infrastructure organization for years to come
- Developing Summa's internal developer platform
What we look for in you:
- 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Infra and/or SRE role
- Experience administrating Kubernetes in production
- You have hands-on coding ability
- You have experience implementing and maintaining infrastructure-as-code
- You are a proactive technical leader with experience owning roadmaps and directing your own work
- You have a history of collaborating on the architecture and review of back-end systems and services.
- Proven track record developing solutions to ambiguous problems
- You have experience with one of GCP, AWS, or Azure
Nice to haves:
- Certifications - Kubernetes
- Cloud Development or Architecture Certifications in GCP, AWS or Azure
- You have worked on financial services infrastructure
- You have worked at a fast growing startup
